  • Top thread is a 5/16:18 thread, the middle one is a original Parker bolt and it is a 5/16:20 thread, the bottom thread is a 5/16:24.

 Product Description

Parker Collar that fits a spindle cut out with a minor diameter of 1-7/16. Check the drawing that is in with the images to see if it is a match for your Parker. This collar fits a 272 Swivel Jaw Parker, and a # 105 non swiveling Parker.  Even though it fits a 1-7/16 spindle neck, it is a smaller collar than the 1-3/8 collar.

The two legs that rest against the vise will need some adjustment by either sanding or machining, so the collar will be equally supported in three areas. I made the two side legs longer than my examples so they can be fitted properly for your individual vise.  The vise castings are not very precision, and will require some fitting on your part.

Collars are made from a 4140 type steel and should always be greased.

A note on the Collar screw:

I have found that Parker used oddball threads. This Parker 272 used a 5/16:20 thread. Maybe popular back in the day, but now it's very difficult to find a replacement screw. If you lose your screw, and deciede to drill and tap for a 3/8 screw, then let me know and I can open the hole before shipping.
