  • Compare this drawing with your vise. Note the .317 (5/16) dimension, this dimension is center line of thread to the ledge on the vise.
  • Note how both shelfs are touching and straight.

  • The other side has a gap, this is typical of vise castings not being accurate, again some fitting is required just like they did at the factory. Even if you have to file smooth the casting.

 Product Description

Parker Collar that fits a spindle cut out with a minor diameter of 1-3/8 and major diameter of the casting 2-3/4.  Check the drawing that is in with the images to see if it is a match for your Parker.  This collar fits a 88-1/2 and a 804-1/2 , and possibly the 974-1/2.

The two legs that rest against the vise will need some adjustment by either sanding or machining, so the collar will be equally supported in three areas. I made the two side legs longer than my examples so they can be fitted properly for your individual vise.  The vise castings are not very precision, and will require some fitting on your part.

Collars are made from a 4140 type steel and should always be greased.
